EPL final day: Where Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea could finish

EPL final day: Where Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea could finish”

Leicester and Manchester United will slug it out for a place in the Champions League.

The Premier League season concludes on Sunday afternoon, and while champions Liverpool already clinched the title a month ago, the relegation battle and the race for the Champions League places will go down to the wire.

Three teams will be relegated from the Premier League and sent to the second-tier EFL Championship on Sunday. Manchester City are assured of Champions League football so their performance in the competition is irrelevant in this respect. But should they finish outside the top four, five teams will enter.

The spotlight will be firmly on the King Power Stadium, where fifth placed Leicester host third placed Manchester United.

Dean Smith's men have momentum after a 1-0 win over Arsenal on Tuesday and travel to a West Ham side now sure of their place in the Premier League next season.

United looked jaded in the past week, but Solskjaer urged his team to finish the job after they climbed into the top four for the first time since September.

"It wasn't really something we spoke about at the beginning of the season because naturally, where the club had been these last few seasons, we wanted to try step-by-step to arrive there", Rodgers said.

In the incredibly unlikely scenario that Chelsea win the Champions League and United or Wolves win the Europa League - and neither finish in the top four - then only the top three will qualify for the Champions League.

Chelsea and Manchester City are still in the Champions League, while Wolves and United are still in the Europa League. If Arsenal win at Wembley and Spurs finish seventh, they will go into Europe at Tottenham's expense.

Both Aston Villa and Watford could potentially stay up with a draw, but Bournemouth will have to beat Everton and hope the other two teams lose to have a chance at safety.

"Results went our way in the week and we're above the dotted line at the moment", said Smith.
