Mike Tyson comes out of retirement to fight Roy Jones Jr

Mike Tyson comes out of retirement to fight Roy Jones Jr”

Overall, fans are extremely excited to see what Tyson can do, although much of the hype is more morbid curiosity than anything else.

Mike Tyson's return to the ring will finally be happening on September 12, wherein he will go up against another legend in Roy Jones Jr.

His championship run included a 2003 victory over John Ruiz for the World Boxing Association heavyweight title, a crown he never defended before rejoining the light heavyweight ranks. And, with Roy Jones Jr.in the mix, this match is sure to be awaited. Jones, meanwhile, last fought in February 2018, when he beat Scott Sigmon in what at the time appeared to be the last bout of his career.

There is a set of rules specially designed for this bout between these two very strong boxers.

Within a year, Tyson was the undisputed champion and dominated the division, earning his nickname as "The Baddest Man on the Planet" and going 37-0.

By the way, King is still VERY involved in pro boxing - he's promoting a huge fight between undefeated heavyweights Trevor Bryan and Christopher Lovejoy on September 26 for the WBA interim heavyweight title on the Impact Network.

Tyson became the youngest heavyweight champion in history at 20 years and four months when he stopped Trevor Berbick in the second round in 1986 to win the World Boxing Council crown.

'It's an exhibition. They can exhibit their boxing skills, but I don't want them using their best efforts to hurt each other.

Tyson hasn't been in the ring since 2005 although based on his recent training videos, there is no doubt in our minds that he still has a vicious punch.

"This isn't a situation where they're going out there to try to take each other's heads off", Andy Foster, the executive director of the California State Athletic Commission, told Iole. Actually, he posted a video of him.

He officially announced his comeback back then.
