The Pentagon is set to make some of its UFO findings public”

The New York Times reports that the Pentagon's Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon Task Force's updated plans were referenced last month in a Senate committee report, which was outlining spending on intelligence agencies for the coming year.

Despite Pentagon statements that it disbanded a once-covert program to investigate unidentified flying objects, the effort remains underway and officials are continuing to study mystifying encounters between military pilots and unidentified aerial vehicles.

And astrophysicist Eric W. Davis, who has worked for the Pentagon's UFO program since 2007, mentioned examinations that failed to determine the source of materials being studied, which led him to conclude that "we couldn't make it ourselves".

Marco Rubio, R-Fla., told a CBS affiliate in Miami that he was primarily focused on unidentified aircrafts over US military bases and finding out who was responsible for it.

He said that he is requesting the information because it is crucial to identify the source of the unidentified objects flying over US airspace.

The committee mandates the task force "standardize collection and reporting on unidentified aerial phenomenon, any links they have to adversarial foreign governments, and the threat they pose to US military assets and installations". He told the station that he was concerned that some of the vehicles could be proof that other countries, such as Russian Federation or China, have made "some technological leap" that "allows them to conduct this sort of activity". "But we need to find out".

The Pentagon program's previous director, Luis Elizondo, is also convinced that objects from unknown origins have crashed on Earth with materials retrieved for study.
