Winning FA Cup not good enough for Arsenal — Arteta

Winning FA Cup not good enough for Arsenal — Arteta”

Arsenal could potentially finish in eighth place in the Premier League table this season if results go their way and they beat the Hornets at The Emirates.

Arteta's eye will largely be on next weekend's FA Cup final, which will now effectively decide Arsenal's season as they seek silverware and the Europa League qualification victory would help secure.

Arteta has seen a string of players pick up injuries since the restart, with Bernd Leno, Gabriel Martinelli and Pablo Mari all missing the closing weeks of the campaign.

Recent reports in England say the Nigeria Football Federation has intensified efforts to attract the Arsenal player to feature for them after recently losing Chelsea duo, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori, to the Three Lions.

Earlier in the month, Arteta said some of his squad had played "crazy minutes" because of the condensed schedule and he feels it will be hard for all clubs to properly prepare for next season with a shortened summer break.

"We have to respect that there are a few teams in the relegation battle and we are responsible for that as well". For me, this club deserves the best and you have to be fighting for every title.
