NASA astronaut shares stunning view of sunrise from space

NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley are set to come back to Earth, leaving the Global Space Station on August 1 and splashing down in the Atlantic on August 2.

The group, all veterans of past ISS missions, will incorporate Akihiko Hoshide with Japan's JAXA space organization, Thomas Pesquet of the European Space Agency and NASA's Shane Kimbrough and Megan McArthur - who two months prior watched her husband Robert Behnken co-pilot the first-ever crewed flight of SpaceX's Crew Dragon capsule.

NASA and its worldwide accomplices named four space explorers to team a SpaceX crucial the International Space Station in spring 2021 - amplifying staffing locally available the circling research facility.

The photos were captured at the exact moment of sun rising through the Earth's horizon.

The online video is timed just forward of the scheduled return of the Crew Dragon Demo-2 mission.

NASA astronaut Megan McArthur recently watched her husband climb through the hatch of SpaceX's Crew Dragon spaceship, buckle into his seat, and rocket through Earth's atmosphere. It denoted the first run through in history that a business vehicle conveyed people into space and the first manned dispatch from United States soil since NASA's Space Shuttle resigned in 2011.

Assuming the mission ends smoothly, the first of the Crew Dragon ferry missions - Behnken and Hurley's mission is considered a demo - will carry four astronauts to the ISS: Victor Glover, Mike Hopkins, Soichi Noguchi, and Shannon Walker.

The SpaceX spacesuits intended for Crew Dragon astronauts glance a large amount unique from the typical NASA fits that have been in support for a long time. He first launched aboard space shuttle Endeavour for a visit to the station in 2008 and again aboard a Russian Soyuz spacecraft for Expedition 49/50 in 2016. She has gone to space twice but has made only one trip to the space station in 2004 and was part of the last Hubble telescope servicing mission in 2009 where she spent 12 days and 21 hours in space. Kimbrough had joined NASA in 2000 and has completed 189 total days in space. Pesquet, an astronaut from the European Space Agency (ESA), spent 196 days in space following a Soyuz launch.
