Oprah Winfrey Sets New Interview Series at Apple

Oprah Winfrey Sets New Interview Series at Apple”

Oprah Winfrey and Apple are partnering up for "The Oprah Conversation", a new series slated to debut on Apple TV+ on Thursday, July 30th.

"It's time to bring humanity back to the conversation", Winfrey, one of the most influential women in the United States, said on Twitter.

"The Oprah Conversation", which was filmed remotely, premieres July 30 on Apple TV Plus, and will delve into race-related conversations. In Part 1, Acho will speak to Oprah about his web series and take questions from white viewers.

The Oprah Conversation marks the latest Apple TV+ program from Oprah Winfrey and follows Oprah Talks COVID-19 and Oprah's Book Club, both of which are now streaming in more than 100 countries on the streamer.

Other guests will include Bryan Stevenson, the founder of the Equal Justice Initiative nonprofit, whose story inspired the 2019 film Just Mercy.

As Variety notes, the series marks the third project that Winfrey has created for Apple's streaming service.

Winfrey's new show follows a recent two-night OWN town hall that tackled racism in America and was broadcast on affiliate networks. Winfrey signed a multi-year content deal with Apple in 2018. Oprah also participated in Apple's documentary series, "Visible: Out on Television".

Apple TV+ is filling TV's Super Soul Sunday void, ordering a new weekly Oprah Winfrey talk show - and setting the debut for this week.
