Brad Pitt gets Emmy nomination for playing Dr. Fauci on SNL

Brad Pitt gets Emmy nomination for playing Dr. Fauci on SNL”

As the coronavirus pandemic has raged on for the last six months, we've gotten very few nice things.

Brad Pitt has scored an Emmy Award nomination for his guest appearance on sketch show Saturday Night Live.

The 79-year-old physician was asked on a TV show who he'd like to play him on "Saturday Night Live", to which Fauci responded, "Brad Pitt, of course". They then come together and married in the year 2000 on July 29 and got split after five years of their marriage when they officially got divorced in the early times of the year 2005.

He joins such recent double nominees as Mahershala Ali and Matthew McConaughey, who earned Emmy nominations for their roles on True Detective the same year they had won an Oscar.

Pitt broke character on the finish of the sketch to thank Dr Fauci and USA healthcare staff. "Now, there is a rumor that the president is going to fire me", Pitt joked in full Fauci costume.

"Relatively soon is an interesting phrase", Pitt quipped.

He later praised the Oscar victor on Telemundo's Un Nuevo Dia.

"Thank you for your calm and your clarity in this unnerving time", Pitt says to the camera after pulling off his wig.

This is Pitt's second Emmy nomination, having received one in the same category - Outstanding Guest Actor In A Comedy Series - for his guest spot in Friends. "And thanks to the medical staff, first responders and their households for being on the entrance line".

The leading immunologist later praised the portrayal and said: "I think he did great".

Dr Fauci instructed Telemundo's Un Nuevo Dia after the printed: "I'm an incredible fan of Brad Pitt, and that's the explanation why, when individuals ask me who I want to play me, I point out Brad Pitt".

I happen to fully agree and if our nation's leadership had even half the smarts, wit, empathy, and unending patience of Dr. Fauci, we'd be in a much better place right now.
