Ellen Degeneres Show producers accused of sexual misconduct”

Ellen DeGeneres has apologised to her staff amid allegations of a toxic work environment on her talk show. DeGeneres addressed her employees after the report.

How low can you go, Ellen DeGeneres?

The star continued: "My name is on the show and everything we do and I take responsibility for that. Obviously, no one wants that and no one wants to be uncomfortably touched by someone ... but you didn't want to piss them off or you would be fired, so it was just that culture of fear".

"I want everyone at home to love our show and I want everyone who makes it to love working on it", DeGeneres said. They controlled the interview seats, the lights, how it would work, everything.

The host sarcastically called the meeting a "brush with fame" for him and Wilkins before revealing the odd set of rules that producers laid out before the comedian's arrival. If not for COVID, I'd have done this in person, and I can't wait to be back on our stage and see you all then. One employee claimed she left after hearing comments about her race. You don't talk to her, you don't approach her, you don't look at her. Now Neil, no one is to talk to Ellen.

The host said he was shocked and questioned how they were supposed to interview her after coming all this way without looking her in the eye.

"I found the whole thing weird".

DeGeneres said as the programme grew she had not been able to stay on top of everything and relied on others to do their jobs as they knew she would want them to be done.

An Australian radio host recalled his "bizarre" encounter with Ellen DeGeneres in 2013. He concluded that he wouldn't know given the limited interaction he was allowed to have with her. "She can blame every executive under the sun - but Ellen is ultimately the one to blame". I don't have a clue.

"I am also learning that people who work with me and for me are speaking on my behalf and misrepresenting who I am and that has to stop", she said.

On Thursday evening, BuzzFeed News published a new investigation, in which dozens of former show employees anonymously claimed executive producers engaged in sexual misconduct and harassment.

While Warner Bros. executives didn't comment on the new allegations, they gave a new statement after launching an investigation into the show, insisting they, "hoped to determine the validity and extent of publicly reported allegations and to understand the full breadth of the show's day-to-day culture". "Again, I'm so sorry to anyone who didn't have that experience". "It's not who we are and not who we strive to be, and not the mission Ellen has set for us".
