Taylor Swift accused of 'stealing' Folklore logo from businesswoman

Taylor Swift accused of 'stealing' Folklore logo from businesswoman”

In a statement to Good Morning America on Tuesday, July 28, a representative for Swift revealed that the Grammy victor made a decision to change the design for the merchandise promoting her seventh album, Folklore, which was released on Friday, July 24, after claims that the art looked similar to the logo of Amira Rasool's company, The Folklore, an online retailer.

"Amira, I admire the work you're doing and I'm happy to make a contribution to your company and to support the Black in Fashion Council (launching on 8/3) with a donation", she wrote in response to Rasool's message.

"It makes ideal sense that Taylor and Joe with their super-private relationship would want to share this news with us, the committed fans who buy the deluxe album, first".

"According to the merits of the plan, I think the designer of this merch ripped off my institution's emblem", she composed July 24.

While many songs on the surprise album were first slated as breakup anthems, Swift is known for her ability to innately weave hidden meanings throughout various aspects of her songwriting - which is why it's not hard to assume that within folklore's tracklist lies some details about her relationship with Alwyn.

"I am not going to let this blatant theft go unchecked", said Amira Rasool, the founder of The Folklore, in an Instagram post.

"Taylor, for her part, took swift action (had to), issuing a statement to Good Morning America saying they'd stopped production on merchandise displaying "the folklore", rather than 'folklore". I commend her team for recognizing the damage it caused to our brand.

She definitely does not deserve that, so here's hoping those of Swift's fans who are bad actors stop that. "So i see i went viral while i didn't have my phone [crying face emoji]", she tweeted. Especially for women protecting their creative rights. Afterwards, Rasool publicly uttered Swift for her answer.

Rasool commended Swift's team for taking immediate action.

The country trio announced last month that it would be dropping "Antebellum" from its name because of the association with slavery and instead go by Lady A. But it turned out that blues singer Anita White has been performing under the name Lady A for decades. But things broke down and the group filed suit in Nashville's US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. "The lawsuit claims that the band has been awarded a trademark on the title" Lady A" at 2011, following a few years of utilizing it with" Lady Antebellum" to their services and goods.
