Police video of George Floyd arrest is released to the public”

Police camera video of Minneapolis officers arresting George Floyd was released to the public Monday and is available for publication.

About 36 seconds after speaking to a store employee, the officers are outside the vehicle Floyd is driving. Instead, Lane continued to hold down Floyd's legs with his hands.

Floyd begged the officers not to put him in a police auto, saying he was claustrophobic and has coronavirus before they push him into the back seat. Another struggle ensues when Lane and Kueng attempt to put Floyd in a police SUV. Lane and J. Alexander Kueng walked George across the street and tried to stuff him in the back of a police SUV. and that's when things got way more tense. George Floyd can be heard repeating at least 25 times that he cannot breathe, as well as telling the officers he had COVID-19.

It is at this stage that Darnella Frazier, a 17-year-old passer-by began filming the video that went viral earlier this year - as Chauvin put his knee on Floyd's neck.

"Lane did nothing to challenge Chauvin's answer". He's already been cuffed for about eight minutes.

Around 16 minutes into the footage, Floyd uttered his final words: "Man, I can't breathe".

Chauvin removes his knee when an ambulance arrives from Hennepin Healthcare Emergency Medical Services. A minute later, he is limp and paramedics load him onto a gurney. Prosecutors have said Chauvin knelt on Floyd's neck for almost 8 minutes, but Kueng's video showed that it was about 9 minutes and 30 seconds.

Attorney Earl Gray had filed the two videos with the court on July 7 to support his motion to dismiss the criminal charges against Lane, his client.

On Friday, Hennepin County District Judge Peter Cahill ruled that the footage should be made public after several news outlets filed to legally force the issue.

Chauvin's knee remains on Floyd's neck for almost 9 minutes and he dies. Lane, Kueng and another officer, Tou Thao, are charged with aiding and abetting. All four were fired by the Minneapolis police and are scheduled to be back in court September 11. Keung plans to plead not guilty, his attorney told CNN.

Lane joined emergency responders in the ambulance and began performing CPR on Floyd at the request of emergency personnel, but Floyd was pronounced dead at the hospital that evening.

Lane didn't see any "visible intentional infliction of harm", felt restraining Floyd was justified and wasn't aware Chauvin was committing a crime, the motion says.
