Twitter Censors Trump Tweet About ‘Voter Security Disaster’

Twitter Censors Trump Tweet About ‘Voter Security Disaster’”

The Trump campaign is seeking to ban ballot drop boxes, which were deployed in the state's most recent primary and that allow voters to submit absentee ballots and bypass the U.S. Postal Service.

Twitter hid another tweet from President Donald Trump behind a warning label earlier today, the latest in a string of censorship against the President that the platform has taken this year.

"Also, who controls them, are they placed in Republican or Democrat areas?' he continued". They are not Covid sanitized. Twitter's notice says that the tweet violates its rules about civic and election integrity, but it "determined it may be in the public's interest for the Tweet to remain accessible". However, the tweet will be hidden behind a public message warning users of its alleged misleading claims and its engagements will be limited.

However, the tweet won't be deleted entirely due to "its relevance to ongoing public conversation". Other users will be able to quote tweet Trump's post, but they are not able to like, reply or retweet it.

The Republican president has repeatedly and without evidence said that an increase in mail-in ballots would lead to a surge in fraud, although Americans have long voted by mail. According to a report from Reuters, one in four voters voted by mail in the 2016 election.

(CNN)President Donald Trump's plan to sue Pennsylvania in federal court to determine how the state conducts mail-in voting has been effectively shut down by a USA district court judge.
