Joe Biden to visit MI next week”

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has started his visit to the election battleground of Wisconsin by meeting with the family of Jacob Blake, the black man whose shooting by a white police officer sparked days of protests. He's due to hold a community meeting that his campaign says will "bring Americans together".

During his own Kenosha trip Tuesday, Trump toured damaged buildings and discussed ways to quell unrest with law enforcement officials.

Blake remains hospitalized after being shot in the back seven times by a white Kenosha police officer while authorities were trying to arrest him on August 23.

Now, as our Washington Correspondent Siobhan Kennedy reports, video has been released of another incident between a black man and police officers in which the black man later died, and a warning some viewers may find these images distressing.

"It legitimizes the dark side of human nature", Biden said of the comment. He was in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Wednesday and spoke in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania earlier this week.

"In August, Trump had the worst odds for re-election of any sitting President in history and defeat to Biden was looking increasingly likely", Darren Hughes, spokesperson at Flutter Entertainment unit Betfair Exchange, said. Trump narrowly won the state in the 2016 election.

The election takes place November 3.

"No one's ideal", said Michelle Stauder, a 60-year-old retired Kenosha school teacher sitting on a barricade erected earlier and clutching a Biden-Harris campaign sign.

Kenneth Turner stood nearby with a Trump-Pence yard sign under his arm.

The president has refused to condemn the killings or the growing presence of armed vigilantes at protests, and during his visit he equated the demonstrations demanding racial justice with "domestic terror" by violent mobs. "But problems here have been around a long time before Trump". He added that Biden is only putting "politics into a really serious situation that [the] president helped solve". As millions of elementary and high school students across the country begin a new school year either virtually or in person, the Biden campaign plans to hold a briefing by medical experts in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware, outlining how schools can open again with a minimum of risk.
