Strictly star Dr Ranj praises 2020 line-up for important reason

Strictly star Dr Ranj praises 2020 line-up for important reason”

" "Strictly Come Dancing" is an inclusive show and is proud to have been able to facilitate the dance between Johannes and Graziano during the Professionals' dance", the BBC had stated then.

The award-winning comedian, musician and actor is best-known for his live comedy and for the TV shows "Black Books", "Never Mind the Buzzcocks" and "QI". He might seem a odd choice, but he sees the challenge as something his mother would have approved.

Comedian Bill Bailey revealed he made a decision to take part in the show for a new "challenge", admitting his late mum would have loved watching him on the show.

Speaking to Zoe Ball after the news was announced on Strictly's official Twitter account, Bill said he signed up to the show because he's "always looking at new things (and) new challenges", adding he hoped to get an "adrenaline rush" from being on the programme.

"I couldn't be more excited", he said. I'm not really Lord of the Dance, I'm caretaker of the dance. "I hope she'll be watching".

The former marine, TV presenter and Invictus Games medalist told Lorraine that he was looking forward to the new challenge.

He joked that the Hokey Cokey was one of his favourite dances and that he would be trying to introduce it to Strictly this year.

Bill Bailey performs on stage at The Kew Music concert.

However, he has joked that his dance skills are a "little patchy".

He joins Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh, Men Behaving Badly star Caroline Quentin, Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo, former professional American footballer Jason Bell, Max George of boy band The Wanted and boxer Nicola Adams, who will dance in the show's first same sex pairing.
