Carragher warns dithering Man Utd: Liverpool primed to sign Sancho”

Man United have stalled on the deal for England worldwide Jadon Sancho as they are yet to agree on a fee with Borussia Dortmund despite claims that personal terms have been agreed with the player.

United have been speaking with BVB for months over a deal for the England global, but are unhappy with the Germans' £105m valuation.

Manchester United have been linked with Jadon Sancho even before the start of the summer transfer window and the latest reports going on in the media are now looking positive for the Red Devils.

United were confident of finally signing the 20-year-old this summer after failing to do so in 2017 and 2019 but the move has been thrown into doubt as Dortmund officials are adamant that he will remain in Germany for at least another season and his contract has been extended until 2023.

The young winger has developed into one of the most exciting players in world football since joining Dortmund from Man City three years ago and it would be seen as a major coup if Man Utd could lure him to Old Trafford.

According to the same story, Borussia Dortmund are refusing to back down from their £110m asking price for Sancho despite the financial impact of the coronavirus.

Sancho scored 17 times and made 16 assists in the Bundesliga last term to help Borussia Dortmund challenge Bayern Munich for the German top-flight title last term.

The Athletic suggest Messi's preference is now to join City this summer, but they reference a source who says the Argentine was originally "more charmed" by "historic English clubs such as Manchester United".

Solskjaer's side will start the new Premier League campaign with a home clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday 19 September.
