Now, Airtel launches unlimited offer on Xstream”

The product would be JioFiber's "competitor". With over 2.5 million broadband customers, Airtel says that all for the existing customers will be auto-upgraded to unlimited. This would have given a very huge competition to the plans from Airtel Xstream Fiber which start from Rs 799 and don't provide unlimited data for free. The new Airtel Xstream broadband plans come just days after Reliance Jio announced the new JioFiber broadband plans that switched to the unlimited data benefit for all plans, for all users. While Jio claims to offer unlimited data, the company has a cap of 3300GB for its "truly unlimited" plans and Airtel is also likely to have a similar cap.

So now there are a total of five plans that are on offer under the listings of Airtel Xstream Fiber. Trying to increase its market share and in an attempt to lure potential customers with attractive offers Bharti Airtel announced the launch of its new Airtel Xstream Bundle which offers up to 1Gbps of speed, unlimited data, and Airtel Xstream Android 4K TV Box with access to all OTT content. But now, this has been made free for all the plans. The Airtel Xstream TV service offers 550 Live TV channels.

The Rs 799, the Rs 999, the Rs 1,499 plans have been updated while the flagship Rs 3,999 plan has been left untouched.

In order to attract customers, Jio Fiber overhauled its plan portfolio to start from as low as Rs. 399. It is worthy to note that there is no change in the pricing of the plans but only the benefits have changed. Here's how they compare to unlimited monthly plans from Reliance Jio, BSNL and Tata Sky.

It is certainly a good workaround for the customers who want quality internet without any worries about running out of data. This means Airtel has done away with the Rs 299 unlimited data add-on that users had to bolt on to their Airtel Xstream Fiber Broadband subscription to get unlimited usage every month.

Telecom operator Bharti Airtel on Sunday launched "unlimited" category broadband plans starting at Rs 499 per month which will come bundled with subscription to video entertainment apps and high definition set-top box (STB) against a refundable deposit.

The bundle offers complimentary access to premier video streaming apps such as Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video and ZEE5, all accessible through the Airtel Xstream Box.
