Queen Elizabeth opens Sandringham estate as a drive-in movie theatre

Queen Elizabeth opens Sandringham estate as a drive-in movie theatre”

Speaking to Insider, Darren said: "Her Majesty's Victorian upbringing dictates that the only thing you would pick up and eat with your fingers is afternoon tea". However, the BIG difference between how we eat a burger and how the Queen eats a burger is this: she ditches the bun.

It is now privately owned by the queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, but the 94-year-old monarch isn't expected to return until Christmas.

The Queen is not a fan of fast-food, and so the beef burgers the Royal family are presented with are actually made from the deer at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

Meanwhile, the Queen is set to host a drive-in cinema on her Sandringham estate.

The Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England, where the monarch retreats during the winter, will transition into a drive-in movie theater later this month.

News of the drive in was reportedly announced through the estate's official website that read, "Enjoy a wonderful evening in the Sandringham Gardens with the backdrop of Sandringham House".

Tickets begin at about $56 per performance and there is an upgrade option to add a deckchair, table, popcorn and separate area to the side of your vehicle!

Tickets cost £32.50 for a series of films starting with 1917, and including Rocketman, Toy Story, The Greatest Showman, and A Star Is Born.

The Queen is now holidaying at Balmoral, but she will not return to Buckingham Palace as usual after her break and will instead head to Windsor Castle.

Reports suggest the hand-picked team of royal aides who have joined the couple may include Vice-Admiral Tony Johnstone-Burt, master of the household; Sir Edward Young, the Queen's private secretary, and Paul Whybrew and William Henderson, her pages.
