Neymar Responds To Alvaro Gonzalez's 'Bad Loser' Jibe With Further Racism Claims

Neymar Responds To Alvaro Gonzalez's 'Bad Loser' Jibe With Further Racism Claims”

Pitchside microphones caught Neymar making the accusation to the fourth official, and the PSG forward then repeated his assertion to a nearby camera after VAR confirmed his red card.

Marseille boss Adore Villas-Boas has said he is not entirely sure but he was also quick to state that "racism is unacceptable in football".

"My only regret is not hitting that Gonzalez in the face, " Neymar stated on his twitter page.

"An aggressive action committed outside of a game set and without causing injury to the opponent can lead to the suspension of seven games", the regulations read.

However if the reason for the dismissal is an attempted assault, he could face a ban of up to six games'.

But the encounter was not an easy one for Neymar and his teammates in which they eventually suffered a 1-0 defeat.

The Spaniard responded to the allegation on social media, labelling Neymar a "bad loser" before the Brazilian responded to Gonzalez's denial of the allegation. "Sometimes you have to learn how to lose and accept it on the field".

Asked about possible racism from his central defender, Villas-Boas had the following to say: "It would be a totally unacceptable thing if that happened, but I do not think so". Incredible 3 points today.

The world's most expensive footballer at £198 million (S$347.5 million) tweeted: "You are not a man to assume your mistake, losing is part of the sport".

The Brazilian star accused Marseille's Alvaro Gonzalez of racism as he exited the pitch after his red card, which was earned when he slapped the defender on the back of the head in a game-ending brawl. I hope that will not distract from this victory.

As well as Neymar's claim of racist abuse, five players were sent off following a mass brawl deep in stoppage time including the Brazil worldwide, Layvin Kurzawa and Leandro Paredes from PSG and Marseille duo Jordan Amavi and Dario Benedetto.
