Google's next smartphones and smart speakers in the starting blocks”

USA retailers have reportedly listed "Sabrina" (AKA Google Chromecast Ultra 2) in their internal systems for a 30 September release date, and with a sub $50 RRP too.

For a few days the first final version of Android 11 has been available, Google's operating system that has a multitude of new features and that we already talked about in an article so that you know everything new that has arrived or is close to arriving to your Android device. An invite states that Google will use this event to unveil a new Chromecast, new Pixel phones, and a new smart speaker.

The latest rumours say that the Pixel 4a (5G) will keep costs down with a plastic build and a 6.1-inch 60Hz panel, while the Pixel 5 will feature an aluminium unibody and sport a 5.8-inch 90Hz or 120Hz OLED display. Livestream details are yet to be announced but it will most likely happen through YouTube. This chipset will get 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For selfies, there could be an 8-megapixel camera on the front. The Pixel 5 is also rumoured to come with a Snapdragon 765G processor and a larger battery this time around, with support for 15W Qi wireless charging.

In addition to the Pixels, Google is also going to announce the new Chromecast device.

But with the advent of streaming devices like Amazon Fire TV Stick and Roku, the brand has lost its momentum. For consumers in India, they are already aware that except for the Chromecast and the speaker, both the new Pixel phones will not be launching in the country. Thus it is widely expected that these high-end device are destined to be stars of the Launch Night In event, for smartphone fans.
