Ori and the Will of the Wisps Out on Nintendo Switch Today

Ori and the Will of the Wisps Out on Nintendo Switch Today”

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is now available on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide priced at ($29.99). The first entry, Ori and the Blind Forest, did release on Switch a year ago, though, and Cuphead also notably made its way to the console under similar circumstances.

With such a attractive (if pricey) physical edition, Both Ori games are a fantastic addition to any game collection for anyone who loves Nintendo Switch platformers.

However, in a Reddit AMA two months ago, the lead engineer for Moon Studios, Gennadiy Korol, put a dampener on expectations for a Switch port. In honor of the series' 5th anniversary, Microsoft has brought the ethereal spirit's latest adventure to the Nintendo Switch. However, unlike the Microsoft published Cuphead, neither of the games are on PS4.

Race to the top of the leaderboards in the all-new Spirit Trials mode where players dash, burrow, grapple, and leap to high scores in unique speed-run challenges throughout the game.

Twinfinite reviewed Ori and the Will of the Wisps when it released on Xbox earlier this year, and it scored a 4.5/5 due to its compelling platforming, stunning visuals, and variety in gameplay.

As their "one last thing" announcement in today's Nintendo Direct Mini, Nintendo unveiled that the sequel is not only hitting Switch eminently, but it's also getting a collector's edition, which you can check out below. There are Switch, Xbox One, and PC versions of the Collector's Edition to preorder right now and will cost $149.99. This edition comes with: a glow-in-the-dark display box, stained glass-style art piece, field guide, sketchbook zine, collectible art card set, glow-in-the-dark pin, digital downloads for both games' soundtracks, and physical editions of both games. The price for the digital download is unconfirmed.
