Sony Teased God Of War Sequel

Sony Teased God Of War Sequel”

Update 5:11PM ET: As noted by Zoe Delahunty-Light at Eurogamer, the God of War logo also doubles as an image of Jörmungandr, the World Serpent, who will be familiar to players of the first game as well as Norse mythology scholars.

As catalogued on Reddit, the Sony Santa Monica developer recently changed his Twitter profile picture to what appears to be a close-up shot of some marble or granite, while his background banner is now a stock image of a redacted document in Latin. Unfortunately, apart from a very short teaser that hints at the name of the game, no other details have been revealed during the show. There hasn't been an official title yet, such as God of War: Ragnarok or something similar.

With the PS5 Showcase underway, director Cory Barlog and Sony Santa Monica have something to say; Ragnarok is coming.

A gruff voiceover from our favourite Greek and Norse god-killer, Kratos, suggests that we've got a mighty storm coming our way, which isn't much of a surprise given the events that close out the final hours of 2018's masterpiece of a game.

The sequel to God of War will arrive in 2021!

It remains to be seen if Atreus will play a part in God of War 2 since there's no mention of him anywhere in the teaser.
