Dominion’ Pushed Back a Year to June 2022

Dominion’ Pushed Back a Year to June 2022”

The latest "Jurassic World" flick just got hit with a viral meteor, of sorts, and it's putting things on ice behind and in front of the camera, yet again.

Jurassic World: Dominion is now slated to roar into theaters June 10, 2022.

After initially kickstarting filming in February, Jurassic World: Dominion was one of many films to enter an indefinite production hiatus during the global coronavirus outbreak in March and had to wait until mid-July to resume filming with proper safety protocols in place.

The movie is abandoning its previously announced June 11, 2021 release date following production delays and continued uncertainty amid the pandemic.

Variety says that the studio took all safety measures to ensure that no one caught COVID-19.

Among these safety protocols are frequent COVID-19 testing, along with temperature checks while the whole cast and crew is isolated at the same resort.

The film is now the second major Hollywood blockbuster to face significant production delays after the filming restart, following Matt Reeves' The Batman, which had its star Robert Pattinson test positive in September. He will also executive produce the film with Steven Spielberg.

The upcoming threequel will be starring returning cast members from the first two Jurassic World films include Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith as well as original Jurassic Park stars Laura Dern, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Campbell Scott.

Joining the Jurassic team for the first time is Emily Carmichael (Pacific Rim Uprising, The Black Hole), who has crafted the screenplay with Trevorrow.
