Morgan Wallen pulled from performing on 'SNL' after singer broke 'COVID protocols'”

Wallen shared the news from his NY hotel room via Instagram video, citing SNL's COVID-19 protocols as the reason his performance was cancelled.

The announcement came after a Tik Tok video showed a man identified as Wallen drinking and appearing to be at a party without a mask went viral. "And I let them down", Morgan said in his Instagram video.

Yesterday (October 6), a video emerged of Wallen partying it up without a face mask and seemingly showing the singer kissing random fans. "[It's] due to Covid protocols, which I understand". I'd like to apologize to SNL, to my fans, to my team for bringing me these opportunities, and I let them down. I'm going to take a step again from the highlight for a short time and go work on myself.

The country star's clear lack of taking COVID-19 safety precautions raises questions of how "SNL" will keep its cast and crew safe in studio 8H. and keep the Bill Burr-hosted show from becoming the next Rose Garden ceremony.

Wallen announced on Instagram Wednesday the show's decision to pull the plug on his guest spot, revealing "SNL" had contacted him with the news. "My actions this past weekend were pretty short-sighted", Wallen said, "and they have obviously affected my long-term goals and my dreams".

"And I don't want to miss anything in my heart", Wallen says in the honest video he made to explain himself. "I think I've lost myself a little bit", he told his followers.

The 27-year-old admitted that he has "some growing up to do", and that he was seeking "joy in the wrong places". In the videos, Wallen and the other guests were not wearing masks nor were they practicing social distancing.

Wallen added that producer Lorne Michaels, the creator of "Saturday Night Live", had given him encouragement and left the door open for a makeup date. She has a journalism degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and previously worked as a legal reporter in New York City before joining the Observer in 2019. It may be a second before you hear from me for a while, but I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go work on me and I appreciate y'all respecting that and I'll talk to you soon.
