Mike Tyson leaves viewers worried in incoherent interview

Mike Tyson leaves viewers worried in incoherent interview”

Tyson later revealed late-night exhaustion was the real reason for his behaviour and that he fell asleep trying to stay up for the interview in Los Angeles.

Tyson slurred his words as he replied: "I just want to do this, I plan on doing this for a charity exponent and I think I am capable of doing that, and that's what I want to do".

"I'm going to ask him (Morgan) when I see him 'did you get this wrong?'" Graham said.

After some early technical issues, Tyson greeted Morgan and Reid with an overabundance of "peace" signs before ignoring some questions and answering others in very awkward fashion. "And I believe I'm able to doing that and that's what I wanna do".

Originally slated for September 12 before it was postponed, Tyson will lock horns with fellow boxing great Jones Jr at Dignity Health Park, Carson in an eight-round exhibition at the end of November. "We may see you have been a bit tired!"

The boxing legend, 54, appeared on the show to discuss coming out of retirement to fight Roy Jones Junior, however his manner led to mass worry on Twitter.

Some Twitter users expressed concern for Tyson's health after watching the interview, while others claimed he must have been exhausted after staying up late to do the interview.

Morgan was blasted by fellow United Kingdom journalist Mike Graham for allowing the interview to go ahead in the first place.

"I have producers here ... if they had seen the state of Mike Tyson they would have said "we can't put him on, he's going to look ridiculous, it's not going to be helpful, it's going to look like we are trying to make something out of this and are proving ourselves to be the wrong kind of journalists". "What on earth were the producers thinking?"

As the hosts threw questions at the boxing legend, he appeared vacant and confused - at one point bowing his head and closing his eyes as Morgan addressed the upcoming bout.
