Dexter: Showtime Orders Limited Series Revival with Michael C. Hall Returning

Dexter: Showtime Orders Limited Series Revival with Michael C. Hall Returning”

Seven years ago, we bid television's favorite serial killer adieu. But apparently, a Dexter reboot is both commercially and culturally viable enough for Showtime to order a limited-series revival; hopefully to right the wrongs of the once-beloved hit serial killer drama starring Michael C. Hall.

Gary Levine, Co-President of Leisure at Showtime, mentioned that the community was exclusively prepared to revisit the "distinctive" character if they may discover a artistic take that was "worthy" they usually have "discovered it". "We'd exclusively revisit this distinctive character if we may discover a artistic take that was actually worthy of the good, authentic sequence". Clyde Phillips, co-producer and original showrunner on the series, was hired to produce the show.

Corridor starred as Dexter Morgan all through the present's eight season unique run on Showtime.

Hall will return as Dexter! The series is produced by Showtime and executive produced by Phillips, Hall, John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Bill Carraro, and Scott Reynolds.

Michael C. Hall was even displeased with how Dexter ended, saying he would've rather had Dexter die in the end instead of retiring as a rural lumberjack.

Though it's no secret that fans were less than pleased with the series finale, noting a marked drop in quality from the fourth season onward, it should be noted that showrunner Clyde Phillips (season 1-4) will be returning to his former position.

Dexter in the series finale.

Today, October 14, 2020, Showtime announced that all of our Dexter dreams are finally going to come true. He then left the show but was credited as a consultant on the first few episodes of Season 5.

Here's to hoping Showtime can redeem Dexter and deliver the season that fans have been wanting for over a decade.
