Facebook Messenger redesigns its logo, adds more customization features”

A updated version of the app is being rolled out, which has a more colourful logo and new default chat colour, extra chat themes (such as love and tie-dye) and personalised reactions. However, regulators may be more focused on how Facebook acquires competitors to gain an advantage, rather than how it operates its existing apps today, like Instagram and Messenger. It has dropped Messenger's iconic blue for a shade that's closer to the multicolored hue you'll find in Instagram.

The company has also announced features like selfie stickers and vanish mode, which is coming soon.

The vanish mode would make the messages disappear once you leave the chat or after they have been viewed by the recipient.

"Messenger features also powers conversations within Portal, and soon Oculus, so you can be with your favorite people wherever you are", Chudnovsky added.

Users will be able to send messages to people on Messenger from Instagram, and vice-versa. The company also announced that the cross-platform compatibility between Instagram and Messenger will roll out soon to users across North America, although, there's no exact ETA for that yet.

The social media major has also introduced a range of new features on the messaging platform. The new updates come from Facebook as part of its measures to integrate Messenger with Instagram private messages. Keep in mind that the new Facebook Messenger update with all these features is now available.
