Free, unreleased Golden Axe game leads Sega's 60th anniversary celebrations

Free, unreleased Golden Axe game leads Sega's 60th anniversary celebrations”

The launch of Golden Axed has surprised some of the prototype's original developers, who worked on the project nearly a decade ago and were not informed by Sega that it would be making a return. Bunch of people including me worked hard on it.

KitGuru Says: I wish more developers would release their proof-of-concept prototypes. So if you want to check them out, make sure to do so beforehand. And then last but not least, Golden Axed: A Cancelled Prototype lets fans play through a canceled Golden Axe project that never got to see the light of day -this one comes out on October 18 and goes away on October 19.

That's a brief snapshot of what he said, but you can read through his thread below for the full story.

Sega revealed four different free mini-games on Wednesday as part of the company's ongoing 60th anniversary celebration.

An ex-Sega developer has criticized the publisher following the announcement of a repackaged release of a prototype he helped create "under crunch conditions". We certainly didn't mean to dredge up painful memories for Mr. Dawson and his former colleagues or appear disrespectful.

More news: Support grows for Judge Amy Coney Barrett

"Once they're taken down from Steam, they're gone forever", according to Sega.

The line Sega is referring to is the one Dawson mentions about it being "janky" and "buggy".

The Yakuza/Streets of Rage mash-up, appropriately titled " Streets of Kamurocho", features Yakuza protagonists Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima in traditional 2D pixel form brawling their way through waves of street thugs and enemy Yakuza.

These were the details of the news Sega is celebrating 60 years with limited-time mash-ups, prototypes, and more. for this day. The original prototype was develoepd by SEGA Studios Australia, which was closed down back in 2013. They have made a twin-stick shooter called Assault Android Cactus, and are working on a house-moving game called Unpacking.
