Russian Federation says it's registered 2nd COVID-19 vaccine, working on a 3rd

Russian Federation says it's registered 2nd COVID-19 vaccine, working on a 3rd”

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said on Wednesday that COVID-19 vaccines may not be initially recommended for children, when they become available.

According to the country's register of authorised medicines, after Sputnik V, another vaccine candidate has received regulatory approval.

YouTube said it would be announcing more steps in the coming weeks to emphasize authoritative information about COVID-19 vaccines on the site.

"Today, two Russian vaccines are in the clinical trial (stage), while another one is registered", Russian news agency RIA Novosti quoted Murashko as saying on Tuesday during a conference at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

Company says it negotiates with UK government to test Covid-19 vaccine

"We are extending and expanding our fast-track approach to address the COVID emergency so that developing countries have fair and equal access to vaccines", said David Malpass, the World Bank's president.

Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, who said earlier this week she took part in the early trials as a volunteer, said Wednesday that 40,000 people will take part in the advance studies of EpiVacCorona.

Russia's first vaccine, Sputnik V, was developed by the Moscow-based Gamaleya Institute and approved by the government on August 11, after early trials among 76 volunteers were completed.

Russian Federation has fourth-highest number of confirmed Covid-19 infections worldwide, while the number of cases continues to rise. Over the past 11 days, Russian health officials have been reporting over 10,000 new cases every day, AP said.
