Stevie Wonder Shares Two New Songs”

The soul legend staged a virtual press conference shortly after "Where Is Our Love Song" and "Can't Put It in The Hands Of Fate" featuring rappers Rapsody, Cordae, Chika and Busta Rhymes. In conjunction with the releases, Wonder announced that he left Motown Records after almost 60 years and launched a new label, So What the Fuss Music.

Singer Stevie Wonder speaks during the 2017 Global Citizens Festival at Central Park in NY, U.S., September 23, 2017.

Wonder also said he would be releasing the tracks on his own label under Republic Records.

Wonder has been with Motown since 1961, when, at the age of 11 years old, he was signed to Tamla Records, a Motown subsidiary, by iconic music man Berry Gordy Jr.

"That's Detroit. So I'm sure that we can figure out how we can do some things at Motown".

The new music is being released through Stevie's new record label So What The Fuss Music, marketed and distributed by Republic Records/Universal Music Group, marking an end to his longstanding relationship with Motown Records. On that track, he sings, "You say you're sick and exhausted of us protesting / I say not exhausted enough to make a change ..." The universe is watching us. That's just what time it is.

Wonder's last album on Motown was 2005's A Time To Love.

Two weeks ago, Wonder released a YouTube video called "The Universe Is Watching Us - Stevie Wonder In His Feelings", in which he spoke about systemic racism in America and the Black Lives Matter movement.
