Nottingham Forest want Liverpool player Harry Wilson on loan”

Liverpool are set to allow Harry Wilson to leave the club on loan with Swansea in "pole position" to sign the winger ahead of the domestic window deadline.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has stated that Championship clubs Derby, Forest, Cardiff and Norwich all want to secure the services of the Wales worldwide winger on a loan deal.

Wilson was on loan at Bournemouth a year ago, and while he started the season off brilliantly, scoring half a dozen goals in the first three months, fell from grace when it became clear the Cherries would fight relegation every week and just made seven starts in the second half of the campaign.

The Rams arguably hold the aces in terms of securing the signing after Wilson excelled at Pride Park during the 2018/19 campaign.

Wilson has only featured for Liverpool twice, he replaced Philippe Coutinho in an FA cup win over Plymouth Argyle in 2017 and started this season's Carabao Cup defeat to Arsenal.

They were unable to shift him for £20 million, but Liverpool now seemingly don't have much choice but to loan Wilson out again.

Wilson had been linked with a host of Premier League side before the deadline day but a deal wasn't struck with Liverpool said to have wanted to offload him on a permanent deal.

Managed by Steve Cooper, a former Liverpool academy coach, they earned credit with the Reds for their handling of Rhian Brewster, who scored 11 goals in 22 appearances having moved to the Liberty Stadium on loan last season.
