OnePlus 8T boasts a 120Hz HDR display, big battery and Snapdragon 865

OnePlus 8T boasts a 120Hz HDR display, big battery and Snapdragon 865”

OnePlus gained popularity for releasing a new device months after their latest flagship, and that was also the case for the OnePlus 8T.

However, this time around, the 8T arrives alone, as it isn't accompanied by a Pro version to succeed the OnePlus 8Pro, which is still available for sale. Here is what you need to know. Speaking of Pei, he recently announced that he is leaving the company he co-founded and was the face of, just prior to the OnePlus 8T event, in order to start a new venture.

Under the hood, you will find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 with support for 5G wireless connectivity, paving the way for faster network speeds than ever before.

As for photography, a quad-camera setup is made up of a 48MP main shooter with a Sony IMX586 sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide angle lens with a 123-degree field of view, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP monochrome lens. At the front, there is a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor with f/2.4 aperture supporting EIS and fixed autofocus.

KitGuru Says: The OnePlus 8T looks like a very decent phone on paper.

It is also worth noting the presence of stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and an advanced vibration motor, providing "new sensations in mobile games".

As confirmed by our friends over at Android Authority, OnePlus will start delivering the OxygenOS 11 update based on Android 11 to the OnePlus 7and 7T series starting in December.

For the OnePlus 8T with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, we have to pay $585. In comparison, three variants of OnePlus 8 are in the market.

The smartphone will be available in two colors, Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver, at a price of 599 euros (about $700) for the 8GB/128 GB version. Is the OnePlus 8T going to be on your wishlist?
