Tyson Fury plots Anthony Joshua bout in 2021

Tyson Fury plots Anthony Joshua bout in 2021”

WBC World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (30-0-1, 21KOs) said he will not be fighting Deontay Wilder (42-1-1, 41KOs) this year, and plans to compete back in the United Kingdom in December instead.

Joshua will have to defend his WBA, IBF and WBO titles against mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev on December 12 before he can fight Fury.

Frank Warren, who co-promoted Fury alongside Bob Arum, told TalkSport: "Tyson has said enough is enough, he is not going to wait longer and he will fight in London in December". I agreed on December 19th, "claimed Fury".

Fury - who has a deal in place to face WBA, IBF and WBO champion Anthony Joshua 23-1 (21) in a two-fight series next year - doubts that a third bout with Wilder will happen and has plans in place to fight a different opponent later this year in the United Kingdom instead.

"Then they asked me if I would agree to postpone it until December".

Fury wants to fight again this year but said the date became an issue for the American's team.

"They tried to change the date again into next year". I've been training. I'm ready.

The former Undisputed champ, Fury and Joshua have also reportedly agreed to fight each other in 2021 provided that they each win their next bout.

Fury is now lining up a defence of his WBC crown at London's famous Royal Albert Hall on December 5 against an opponent in the top 15 of the WBC's rankings. If that does not work out, Fury will most likely fight in December 2020.

However, SunSport has revealed that Fury's attempt to scrap the Wilder trilogy has not been ratified by the WBC.

One of the biggest factors as to why this fight will still take place is both participants are apparently guaranteed a staggering $30 million dollars as part of the deal through Top Rank, Premier Boxing Champions and the television networks ESPN and Fox. "We'll fight him any date, any place", Finkel said. Fans of "The Gypsy King" would argue that Wilder has lost twice to Fury now - once on points, which was dubiously awarded as a draw, then in a total battering that ended in "The Bronze Bomber's" corner rightfully throwing in the towel after blood was trickling from his ears. "See you all in December".
