Destiny 2: Beyond Light Next-Generation Upgrades Arrive in December

Destiny 2: Beyond Light Next-Generation Upgrades Arrive in December”

It's going to be interesting - and hopefully fun, not frustrating - to see how all of our long-time-running games can adapt to these powerful new consoles.

Destiny 2's next big annual expansion, Beyond Light, launches December 10.

When Xbox announced that it was purchasing ZeniMax Media, the parent company of the mega-publisher Bethesda, speculation went rampant about whether or not future games in franchises like Doom, The Elder Scrolls, Starfield, and more would be coming to PlayStation 5 in the future. More details on this will be available closer to launch, as Bungie is now testing the settings to ensure a smooth performance. S will support 60 FPS. Bungie says its goal is to offer a similar field of view range as what's available through the PC version of the game, where you can adjust the slider between 55 and 105 degrees. Bungie is continuing to test the settings across each platform and will have more details as the launch date gets closer.

"While things like faster load times and cross-generation play will be available on November 10th, we're taking some more time on the following enhancements to ensure a smooth experience when playing Destiny 2 on your new devices", the studio said.

"There will be noticeable improvements to things like loading the game and inspecting character inventory", according to Bungie. Players who have the current-generation version of Destiny 2 are eligible for the next-generation upgrade at no extra cost.
