New Yorker suspends Jeffrey Toobin for exposing self on Zoom”

Toobin managed to be caught with his trousers down in full view of New Yorker and WNYC radio employees who participated in the Zoom call, he said, because he "believed [he] was not visible on Zoom".

"I made an embarrassingly stupid mistake, believing I was off-camera", Toobin said in a statement to Vice. "I apologize to my wife, family, friends, and co-workers", he told Motherboard in a statement.

"I believed I was not visible on Zoom", Toobin said in his Motherboard statement. "I thought I had muted the Zoom video".

It is also not clear how many staffers were on the video call at the time.

"Jeffrey Toobin has been suspended while we investigate the matter", a spokesperson for the New Yorker confirmed to Fox News. Motherboard reported that Toobin's Conde Nast email address has also been disabled, and he has not tweeted since October 13.

Toobin has been omnipresent on the network as a commentator on legal controversies and the Trump administration. When the woman said she would not be having an abortion, Toobin reportedly told her she was going to regret it and that she should not expect any support from him. His other works include "The Run of His Life: The People v. O. J. Simpson" and "The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court". The couple have three children together.
