The cast welcomes an absolutely legendary new mountain of muscle

The cast welcomes an absolutely legendary new mountain of muscle”

It would appear that James Gunn is keeping a pretty tight hold on his Peacemaker series since he's apparently written every episode and is keeping it to himself for the most part. Stallone labored with Gunn beforehand on "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2", by which he performed Stakar Ogord, who turns into the hero Starhawk.

Robbie will be seen reprising her role in the upcoming movie. "In an Instagram post with Sly, Gunn said that "(despite) being an iconic movie star, most people still don't have any idea what an wonderful actor this guy is".

"Always a pleasure to work with my friend Sylvester Stallone, and our day today on The Suicide Squad was no exception".

Many fans took to Twitter to praise the casting of some massive names, showing their excitement to welcome the likes of John Cena, Idris Elba, Nathan Fillion and Peter Capaldi to the fold. Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder serve as executive producers.

The Suicide Squad is slated to be released on August 6, 2021. Directed by Cathy Yan, the movie has grossed $178.4 million worldwide, with $74.7 million coming from North America and $103.7 million from overseas markets.

Will Smith will not be rejoining the cast, however - reportedly due to scheduling conflicts, which is no surprise given that he's a busy dude these days - and Jared Leto's Joker won't be returning after his appearance in the first movie. But as the star of the Expendables franchise, he knows a thing or two about big-screen suicide squads.

Yo, Harley! It looks like The Suicide Squad will add yet another character with a comic book physique, as Sylvester Stallone just announced via Instagram that he shot a scene for the film.
