USA election: Trump retracts, says I didn't concede defeat”

Biden has won 306 votes in the state-by-state Electoral College system that determines the presidential victor, according to Edison Research, far more than the 270 needed. "NO VOTE WATCHERS OR OBSERVERS allowed, vote tabulated by a Radical Left privately owned company", Trump tweeted in his clearest yet admission of defeat.

Last night and this morning, Trump took to Twitter where he admitted that Biden won, but also claimed that he won't be accepting the results.

But the president soon followed up with a sharp U-turn, tweeting "He only won in the eyes of the FAKE NEWS MEDIA".

Trump must have realized that he accidentally conceded the election on Twitter, because shortly after the tweet started trending he fired off two more messages to clarify his feelings. "We have a long way to go".

"Joe Biden is going to become president of the USA in the midst of an ongoing crisis".

Senior federal and state election authorities - including a top cybersecurity agency - have rejected claims of widespread election fraud.

"WE WILL WIN!" he added.

Trump's campaign has tried to mount legal challenges across the country, but numerous lawsuits have been thrown out and none has included any evidence that the outcome might be reversed. In fact, election officials from both political parties have stated publicly that the election went well and worldwide observers confirmed there were no serious irregularities.

"Donald Trump lost... by a free and valid election", Bolton said, adding "I don't expect him to go graciously".

The Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency, a federal agency that oversees USA election security, said in a statement last week that the "November 3rd election was the most secure in American history".

With his chances of reversing the outcome virtually extinguished, Trump has discussed with advisers potential media ventures that would keep him in the spotlight ahead of a possible 2024 White House bid, aides said.

The development comes a day after a huge crowd of Trump supporters gathered in Washington, DC to protest against alleged voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election, as well as to back the Republican president.

"I think it's very important for leaders of the Republican Party to explain to our voters, who are not as stupid as the Democrats think, that in fact Mr Trump has lost the election and his claims of election fraud are baseless", Bolton said on ABC's "This Week" program.
