A New James Bond Game Will Tell 007's Origin Story

A New James Bond Game Will Tell 007's Origin Story”

"New Project", teases the post.

Honestly, this seems like a pretty much flawless match of developer and game title, with IO Interactive best known for the Hitman series, in which a very smartly dressed assassin mingles through increasingly large and complex worlds and crowds, aiming to reach their target and then get out as sneakily as possible.

The Danish developer announced the exciting news this morning, accompanied by a teaser trailer featuring the famous 007 gun barrel sequence.

Not much has been revealed so far. If it's half as good as their other games (Freedom Fighters and Kane and Lynch), we can be satisfied.

Game company IO Interactive recently announced they are working on a new project and will be revealing it soon. It's a "brand new James Bond video game with a wholly original story", and you will need to "earn your 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story".

Bond is back. After a prolific absence from the world of video games thanks to Activision having no idea what to do with the franchise, the super spy is finally returning to the video game world and IO Interactive, the developer of the Hitman series, is bringing him there.

Wow, that is some harsh Casino Royale erasure.

Project 007 - which is the working title - is in development for consoles and PC, and is set to make use of IO's Glacier engine. Whether or not IO Interactive's attempt will fare better is something for our eyes only once Project 007 drops. Do you think that this is a great fit for the Hitman team?

It looks very Hitman-esque, not going to lie, but given that we already know one is in the works, it likely isn't a spin-off or something of that nature.
