Sia announces new album

Sia announces new album”

Her new film 'Music, ' stars Kate Hudson, as Zu, a newly sober drug dealer and self-saboteur who finds herself the sole guardian of her half-sister, Music (Maddie Ziegler), a teenager with special needs.

In addition to writing all of the songs for the musical drama, Sia co-wrote the screenplay and directed the movie, her feature film directorial debut. An actual soundtrack featuring the movie's cast will be out this winter. It's based on a short story Sia wrote in 2007.

Sia will release new album "Music - Songs From And Inspired By The Motion Picture" on February 12th.

Sia's album includes songs that were written specifically for the movie, as well as songs that were inspired by it. Earlier this year, she released singles "Courage to Change" and "Together".

Music and Music - Songs From and Inspired By the Motion Picture are out February 2021.

A press release accompanying the announcement calls Sia's music "integral to the story of the film as the characters examine the fragile bonds that hold us together and, through fantastical musical sequences, imagine a world where those bonds can be strengthened in times of great challenge". Her most up-to-date solo launch, her first for Atlantic, was the 2017 vacation collaboration with Greg Kurstin "On a regular basis Is Christmas", though she, Diplo and Labrinth joined forces as LSD final 12 months for an album and the smash single "Thunderclouds".
