Kyle Rittenhouse Bought Gun With Stimulus Check

Kyle Rittenhouse Bought Gun With Stimulus Check”

Rittenhouse has been charged with first-degree reckless homicide, first-degree intentional homicide, and attempted first-degree intentional homicide for his actions the night of August 25, which led to the deaths of Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber and the injury of Gaige Grosskreutz. "I would have died that night if I didn't", Mr.

"No, I don't regret it", he said about having the gun with him on the night of the shootings. Rittenhouse said he planned to transfer ownership next year. "I feel like I had to protect myself".

"I got my $1,200 from the coronavirus IL unemployment 'cause I was on furlough from YMCA and I got my first unemployment check so I was like, 'Oh, I'll use this to buy it, '" Rittenhouse told the Washington Post from a juvenile detention center, where he's been held on $2 million cash bail since the August shootings.

Rittenhouse, who is from IL, had connections to Kenosha through his 18 year-old-friend Dominick Black.

Rittenhouse's mother also recently spoke out in an interview and claimed she would have tried to stop her son from going to Kenosha during the protests but she did not know where he was or what he was doing at the time.

TheGrio reported earlier this month that Black has been charged with two felony counts of supplying a risky weapon to a minor causing death.

Rittenhouse said that he was on furlough from his job at the YMCA due to the pandemic and used the money from his first unemployment check. The next day, he said, he went into downtown Kenosha to help clean up businesses that had been burned and damaged and clean graffiti from a vandalized school.

Rittenhouse is too young to purchase a gun on his own so he had an adult make the purchase for him. He told the Post he meant to protect a used auto business that had been damaged the night before and provide medical assistance to anyone who needed it.

Rittenhouse, meanwhile, was extradited to Wisconsin late last month and is awaiting trial on charges that could put him in prison for life. He received his first unemployment check and told reporters at the publication through a cell phone he thought to himself, "oh I'll use this to buy it". But Rittenhouse and his lawyers maintain the shooting was in self-defense.
