Top TikTok star Charli D'Amelio loses 1m followers”

Check out what's clicking today in entertainment.

This unfollowing is in response to a video on the D'Amelio family YouTube channel, in which Charli, her sister Dixie, and their parents dine with YouTuber James Charles.

In the video, Dixie, Charli and their parents Marc and Heidi had dinner with beauty YouTuber and social media star James Charles, chatting about a number of different topics at the same time.

Later in the video, Dixie, 19, spotted a snail on her plate. "It's all good", Aaron May told The Hollywood Fix, when commenting on the backlash.

Charli also spoke out in an Instagram Live video, saying that it was all a misunderstanding and she and Dixie did not deserve all the hate.

Fans were not happy and called Dixie and Charli "brats", "privileged and unappreciative of a meal that a private chef made them", among other negative comments.

"Before I even get into anything, I'm so grateful for every single person that follows me, every single person I care about, every single person I work with, every single person who works with me because I'm just so grateful for all of the opportunities I've had. I feel like it's not that hard, and you can say whatever". Charli tweeted. "At the end of the day i know i am a good person with a good heart and i will never change that about myself. i love you all!"

Charli D'Amelio (L) and Dixie D'Amelio arrive at iHeartRadio's Z100 Jingle Ball 2019 at Madison Square Garden on December 13, 2019, in New York City.

"Ugh, I wish I had, like, more time because imagine if I hit 100 mil a year after hitting a mil", Charli says, to which James replies, "Was the 95 not enough for you?" The siblings have lost hundreds of thousands of followers on TikTok since the video's release on Monday, November 16.

In the video, Dixie can be seen doing the usual stereotypical TikTok dances in an ironic way with audio from Trisha Paytas rapping along to NWA's "F*** the Police".

I throw up at the smell, the thought, or the taste of anything.

"I would never in any way wanna be taken as disrespectful, especially from an out-of-context 15-second clip", she said. So, when they saw the snails, they were like, 'Oh, let's get her and try to see if we can get a reaction out of her.' ...

Some have also been calling Charli "entitled" for complaining that she hadn't reached 100 million followers on TikTok yet.

Hours later, she took to Twitter, ready to move on.
