Kings sign Hassan Whiteside to one-year deal”

Hassan Whiteside will try to revitalize his National Basketball Association career where it first began a decade ago.

Kaminsky agreed to a one-year-deal with the Kings, agent Kevin Bradbury told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Sacramento drafted Whiteside in the second round (No. 33 overall) of the 2010 NBA Draft.

Last season, Sacramento missed the NBA Playoffs by three games with a 31-41 record.

The agreement - Monte McNair's first free-agent signing as the general manager of the Kings - is for the league minimum, according to NBC Sports California's James Ham. Whiteside thrived for a short time in Miami, signing a massive four-year extension with the Heat following the 2015-16 season.

In the 2020 postseason, Whiteside saw his role reduced, as he started in three of five games, averaging 6.8 points and 7.0 rebounds in just over 20 minutes per game.

Upon returning to the National Basketball Association for the 2014-15 campaign, the North Carolina native emerged as a consistent double-double threat with the Miami Heat.

Kaminsky averaged 9.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 39 games last season, his first with the Suns.
