Biden identifies more administration officials, Trump vows continued election fight”

But overall, they found Mr Biden's lead over the outgoing US President had in fact grown by 87 votes.

Wisconsin finished a partial recount of its presidential results on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020 confirming Democrat Joe Biden's victory over President Donald Trump in the key battleground state.

"The Wisconsin recount is not about finding mistakes in the count, it is about finding people who have voted illegally, and that case will be brought after the recount is over, on Monday or Tuesday", Trump tweeted Saturday.

As the Democratic former vice president prepared for his move to the White House, Republican President Donald Trump pledged to maintain his legal fight to overturn the result of the November 3 vote even while indicating in comments to Fox News that he was growing resigned to leaving office on January 20.

Biden won with 306 Electoral College votes - only 270 are required - to Trump's 232.

"It has uncovered no evidence of electoral fraud".

"Trump has nonetheless promised further litigation before the state's certification".

On Sunday, the outgoing US President questioned whether the Supreme Court would hear a case around his unproven allegations of widespread election fraud.

"As we have said, the recount only served to reaffirm Joe Biden's victory in Wisconsin", Danielle Melfi, who led Biden's campaign in Wisconsin, said in a statement to the Associated Press.

"We have to move very fast", Trump said of his legal challenges, while declining to offer a specific date by which he would consider his options exhausted.

Mr Trump did not specify what legal steps he would take next.

Following the ruling, the President's campaign attorney Jenna Ellis appeared to suggest they would appeal to the US Supreme Court, when she tweeted: "On to SCOTUS!"

"We're working with the Biden administration, the likely administration, on both the transition and the inauguration as if we're moving forward", Senator Roy Blunt, chairman of the congressional inaugural committee, told CNN, stopping short of acknowledging that Trump lost.

The vast majority of Trump voters - 81% - said they would not even given Biden a chance as president.

Trump also stated that the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party can't have more than 80 million popular votes.
