DaBaby: US rap star arrested on gun charges”

DaBaby arrives at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards on January 26, 2020, in Los Angeles.

Rapper DaBaby was arrested on Thursday on the charges of carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle, Beverly Hills Police confirmed to Fox News.

Grammy-nominated United States rapper DaBaby has been arrested in Los Angeles, charged with carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle.

It's unclear why the rapper was arrested, but TMZ reported on Thursday night that there's a video showing the rapper leaving the Moncler store in the company of three other men. After an investigation, police said they found a 9mm firearm. Authorities say someone inside the store called the police and alerted them that DaBaby and his crew were armed.

An email sent to DaBaby's representatives seeking comment was not immediately returned.

The singer who has been nominated for six Grammy Awards, including the 2020 Record of the Year, was released on a $35,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court in March.

The arrest came after store security alerted police about a man having a gun on their premises. He was later charged with a misdemeanor of carrying a concealed weapon and sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation.
