Gilmour pushing for regular Chelsea place, Lampard says

Gilmour pushing for regular Chelsea place, Lampard says”

Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi has admitted that there are "flaws" which remain in his game and have halted his rapid burst onto the football scene.

The England global has, however, worked his way back into favour of late and is eager to ensure that he unlocks his full potential under the guidance of a Chelsea legend. There are always flaws and you want to keep improving every day.

"There's a number of clubs in for him as you would expect".

"Every time I get on the pitch or in training, I want to give my best every time".

Hudson-Odoi has featured 16 times so far this season for Frank Lampard's side, as the club legend turned manager continues to work out his best attacking set-up.

"I want to always make sure that I'm ready".

"What we can't ask the youth of this squad sometimes is to be absolutely consistent and be killers, like other players in the league are in terms of the numbers they produce and consistently produce", Lampard said in his press conference at Stamford Bridge.

The central defender is now struggling for game time at Stamford Bridge, and has made just four appearances so far this season.

A 4-0 FA Cup third-round victory over Morecambe was secured last time out, with that contest allowing Hudson-Odoi, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz to find the target and restore any fragile confidence.

Johnson is very well-connected at Chelsea, so we should take what he says quite seriously, and he's heard that Tomori is pushing for a move away from the club on a permanent basis, not just on a loan.

Meanwhile, Leeds reportedly don't want to do business this window because of how long it takes new signings to get up to speed with Marcelo Bielsa's methods, so a six-month loan for Tomori would have been pretty useless. As I said, this game was a good step.

"That will come but at the moment I think their own contributions are good".
