Lenovo's New Smart Glasses Project Five Virtual Displays at Once

Lenovo's New Smart Glasses Project Five Virtual Displays at Once”

Smart glasses have been the talk of the industry for a long time now, but none of the manufacturers had much success in the field.

The smart glasses are touted by Lenovo as part of a comprehensive integrated digital solution to deliver intelligent transformation in business and bring smarter technology to more people. Versatile, portable, and comfortable, the ThinkReality A3 fits like sunglasses and can be enhanced with industrial frame options for safer and more durable use.

Lenovo didn't reveal the price tag of both versions of the ThikReality A3 but it says that will be available in select markets by the middle of the year. There is an 8MP RGB camera that records in 1080p for remote expert use cases and a pair of fish-eye cameras that provide room-scale tracking. It can be connected to a PC or selected Motorola smartphones, allowing you to view up to five virtual screens.

Lenovo ThinkReality A3 are the company’s latest AR glasses for enterprises

3D visualisation and Augmented Reality are also slapped proudly on the spec sheet for the Lenovo ThinkReality A3 smartglasses, designed specifically with a focus on versatility, portability and comfort.

Lenovo has also confirmed that the PC edition of the ThinkReality A3 AR glasses are optimized to work well with the Lenovo ThinkPad series of laptops, powered by either an Intel or an AMD processor. As a result, it can be tethered to select Motorola smartphones for hands-free, AR-supported tasks in work environments. The Industrial Edition is supported by the Think Reality software platform, which allows business customers to create, deploy and manage globally mixed reality applications and content with global support.

Lenovo, one of the leading names in the technology world, introduced its new smart glasses ThinkReality A3 at the CES fair. The smart glasses are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon XR1 SoC. The glasses follow the announcement of the ThinkReality A6 head-mounted display, which offers a more traditional form factor (insofar as there is a traditional form factor for AR, I suppose). For advanced hybrid-reality and high-performance virtual reality applications, Lenovo offers a portfolio of certified workstations to work with multiple Varzo XR / VR headsets, and it is a reseller of Warzo's human-eye resolution solutions.
