LG Will Launch The World's First Rollable Smartphone In 2021

LG Will Launch The World's First Rollable Smartphone In 2021”

On Monday, the highlight of the day was definitely the experimental rollable devices presented by the likes of LG and TCL. The lack of details left the public in amazement and doubts whether the smartphone is only a concept design or a release that would soon come in the future. Like the Oppo X 2021 that was teased back in November of past year, the LG Rollable also has a screen that expands from one side from its smartphone shape to a tablet shape. Under normal circumstances CES and MWC would see a raft of smartphone launches but we're not allowed to have any fun this year.

LG's rollable smartphone is now in the concept stage, so nothing has been finalized.

Let us know if you're excited to see LG's upcoming foldable phone. As part of this project, the company previously developed the LG Wing smartphone with a rotating design and two OLED displays.

The hybrid handset is said to be based on flexible organic light-emitting diode technology, which is reportedly being supplied by China's BOE Technology Group, although the specifics of the tech remain unclear. While we're intrigued by LG's latest concept, we have a lot of questions about how it works. How does it effect battery life? What's the warranty like on a rollable smartphone? How much will the LG's rollable smartphone cost?

Meanwhile, LG has made significant progress in manufacturing rollable displays.

According to what was shown in the CES videos, the bottom of the phone likely is equipped with a mechanism that furls and unfurls the display when the phone is held in landscape mode.

LG shocked the world with excitement and astonishment as it unveiled a seemingly unreal concept smartphone, the LG Rollable, which morphs its display in extending its size and reverting to original so it can fit pockets.
