Taylor Swift's 'Folklore' breaks top-selling album record”

Taylor Swift is always on top!

Snapped together for the first time possibly in public, Taylor Swift gave a sneak peek into her romance with boyfriend Joe Alwyn as the duo took a winter stroll in London.

That was more than any other release by that measurement, although Lil Baby's "My Turn" was last year's most popular album overall.

Swift's 2020 hit album "Folklore" reportedly sold 1.276 million copies between its release on July 24 and December 31.

In 2019, only one album sold at least a million copies in the US, and it was also by Taylor: Lover, which sold 1.09 million. Naturally, the new tracks, "It's Time to Go" and "Right Where You Left Me", did not go unnoticed by devoted Swifties, who instantly started decoding the star's latest work.

The other eight top sellers for 2020 were "Map of the Soul: 7" by BTS.

Swift beat out Adele with the achievement, who's had the top-selling album of the year four times with her albums 25 (2016 and 2015) and 21 (2012 and 2011). Folklore was already named the best album of the year, but Rolling Stone has officially named it the biggest album of the year from its Rolling Stone Top 200 Albums chart.

Overall, Swift has produced nine studio album and sold more than 50.1 million copies. This number isn't figuring in deals or downloads for Swift's live albums, arrangement collections or expanded plays.

As of early January, Forbes estimated Swift's net worth is around $365 million.
