Comparison in real size: Galaxy S21 line against rivals”

Samsung Electronics has unveiled its new flagship Galaxy S21 series smartphones, featuring trendy K-pop acts such as megastar BTS and eccentric alternative group Leenalchi, in an online event that drew in a total of 57 million viewers globally.

The S Pen Pro is not exclusive to the S21 Ultra, by the way, it will work on existing S Pen-capable devices as soon as they are updated to One UI 3.1.

Samsung returned to first position with a global market share of 22.7 percent to reach 80.4 million units, while Huawei lost the top spot and settled into the second position with the market share of 14.6 percent share of the global smartphone market. However, the Galaxy S21 won't be the only device to receive the no-charger-in-the-box treatment, as Samsung will extend this strategy to more devices in the foreseeable future.

As The Verge points out, the gradual removal of chargers can meanwhile some of the next generation models come sans the units, some may. Samsung has made a decision to ditch the bundled charging adapter from the Galaxy S21 series' retail package, following in the footsteps of Apple. In a Q&A about why it's not including the accessories in the box, the company reportedly said that gradually removing the accessories from its phone could help make it more sustainable. Samsung also noted that it has been implementing standardised USB Type-C ports since 2017; older chargers will still be compatible with the new Galaxy models.
