Valve is making new single-player games - Half-Life 3 at last?

Valve is making new single-player games - Half-Life 3 at last?”

In a new wide ranging interview with New Zealand outlet 1 News, Valve studio head Gabe Newell has been in NZ since the beginnings of the pandemic, his royal Gabeness touched on that all important question - "Bro, Half Life 3?".

They may be single-player games, as the CEO said that the critical success of Half-Life: Alyx did a lot to encourage the team at Valve: "Alyx was great - to be back doing single-player games, that created a lot of momentum inside of the company to do more of that". Newell calls it "fun" to publish video games and believes that it is "great" the way they have been able to develop Half-Life: Alyx, whose announcement occurred a few months before its subsequent release.

However, Gabe has finally confirmed that there are new Valve games that will be announced soon. Newell was unwilling to budge when asked whether or not there was any news regarding a new installment in the Portal or Half-Life series of games. However, Newell did confirm that he and the team at Valve are working on several new projects.

It would be fantastic to have Valve move to New Zealand given the game development talent present in the country and Australia, but let's just see what happens first.

It immediately makes me think of Half-Life 3, but Newell continued Ambiguous, As usual: "I have successfully managed not to talk about these things for a long time and hope to continue Don't mention it As long as they are concrete issues". I do not know what citadel is, what is citadel? "We definitely have games in development that we're going to be announcing..." "If we want, we can find a further footing for further speculation in the next sentence from the valve boss:" To be clear, we use different names internally, as we go through these changes. "It's a realistic possibility and it gets more realistic all the time", Gabe tells 1 News.
