'Saved By The Bell' star Dustin Diamond dies at 44”

Diamond also appeared as Mr. Belding's assistant in seasons 2-7 of Saved by the Bell: New Class, which ran from 1993 to 2000.

Actor Dustin Diamond passed away at the age of 44 today after recently being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.

Dustin Diamond's agent, Roger Paul, confirmed the actor's death to Rolling Stone. In this time, he managed to quickly spread throughout his system; the only mercy he showed was his clean and swift execution. Reports say that Dustin did not suffer.

"He did not have to lie submerged in pain".

Saved by the Bell star Dustin Diamond died Monday after a three-week fight with cancer, according to his spokesperson.

"We ask everyone to respect Dustin's privacy during this hard time". I remember all of the times we were there for each other on set of #cbb like captured in this photo. "This loss is as much stinging as it is sudden". Diamond said he was trying to scare bar patrons in Port Washington after his girlfriend was punched in the face. He appeared in numerous game shows and reality TV series, but he was still forced to filed for bankruptcy in 2001, and got into trouble with the law in 2014 due to his involvement in an altercation in a bar; he ultimately served three months in prison as a result. Four years after meeting Mario, Dustin was the only member of the original cast of Saved By The Bell not to join the NBC Peacock follow-up series.

And Tiffani Thiessen, who played Kelly Kapowski, took to Instagram to share her sadness at Diamond's passing.

Understandably, Diamond's former Saved by the Bell co-stars weren't thrilled by the claims.

Another co-star, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, called Diamond "a true comedic genius", adding "I will miss those raw, brilliant sparks that only he was able to produce".

'My honest condolences to his family and friends.

Engel even recalled how Diamond made him "ruined" multiple episodes of the show when they were shooting in Hawaii. He echoed Tiffani's thoughts about life being fragile. He took on B-movie roles, stuck with Saved by the Bell until it was canceled, and then attempted to do whatever he could in order to keep his career moving in a forward direction, but it felt as though controversy followed him wherever he went. He published a tell-all "Saved by the Bell" book, self-released a sex-tape and dabbled in professional wrestling and formed an alternative-rock band. Though he pleaded not guilty and testified that he never meant to stab anyone in the Christmas Day brawl, he was convicted for the two misdemeanors and sentenced to four months in jail in 2015.
