Trump demands Republican groups stop raising money off his name

Trump demands Republican groups stop raising money off his name”

Late Monday, after word of the RNC's response to the cease-and-desist letter, Trump issued a statement encouraging Republican donors to give to his Save America PAC instead of organizations or people he considers RINOs, Republicans in name only.

While Trump has asked the Republican bodies to stop using his name and likeness to raise funds, he is using his Save America SuperPAC to raise money to assist the Republican candidates for 2022 congressional candidates, who have been hand-picked by the former President.

"No more money for RINOS".

The letters demanded the groups stop using Trump's name and likeness in fundraising emails and on merchandise, the news agency said.

A civil war has erupted within the Republican Party, with establishment figures such as Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell eager to put Trump in the rearview mirror, and others, like Trump ally Senator Lindsey Graham, believing the party's future depends on the energy of the pro-Trump base.

Clinton said, "Well first, I will say I don't want to hurt Liz Cheney, but I was incredibly impressed by her strength in standing up to what had been instigated by Donald Trump, an attack on our Capitol by the then-sitting president of our country, which was so outrageous".

Donald Trump has endorsed the party's use of his name for campaigns.

The House and Senate Republican campaign committees and a Trump spokesman did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The letter indicated Trump would participate in the party's donor retreat scheduled for next month in Palm Beach, Florida, which is home to Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort. Some of them are expected to challenge Republican incumbents.

As you may have heard, the former president has been in a big of a back-and-forth with the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Congressional Committee, and the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
